Ownership Options
Sole Ownership
You will be the owner of the horse, i.e. you will own a 100% share in the horse. You will liaise closely with the trainer in making decisions regarding the horse. You will be responsible for covering all costs and you will also keep all profits.
Syndicates
Syndication is the most cost effective and way of owning a racehorse. It involves a group of people sharing the ownership and costs, and therefore the costs are greatly reduced. The syndicate is named and the horse runs under this name. A syndicate can be made up from a group of friends, work colleagues or even strangers. So a day at the races becomes a great social event.
Corporate Ownership
Company Ownership acts as an effective promotional tool. You can name your horse after your company. This can lead to nationwide publicity for your company via the press and television.
