HAVANA GREY storms home...
Wed, July 12, 2017
HAVANA GREY storms home to make it 2 from 2 at Sandown park taking another Listed contest this time winning The Dragon Stakes again over 5 furlongs making all the running. We were a little disappointed at Royal Ascot finishing in the middle but it is obviously fiercely competitive as always there and holding him up that day didn't work out so we went back to making the running and once again his fractions and speed throughout the race were very impressive. He may now head to Glorious Goodwood or France.
KURAKA was unlucky not to break his maiden when going down by a head after having the eventual third horse take him across the track allowing a late swoop from the winner to collar them on the line. He now heads to the sales this week where we have fifteen horses selling.
MUTAHAADY another horse head for the Tattersalls sales this week put up another solid run after his win at Redcar finishing third in a class 2 handicap at Thirsk.
SHOWDANCE KID finished third in the claimer at Yarmouth under Martin Harley in the horrendous weather that they had down there nearly resulting in the meeting being abandoned and then he subsequently got claimed by John Wainwright.
We will have a busy few days ahead with plenty selling down in Newmarket and a few new arrivals to come.
June was a busy month with plenty of runners...
Tue, July 4, 2017
June was a busy month with plenty of runners including over seas in France. HIGH DRAW made the trip across the channel worth while when landing the claimer at Fontainbleau.
We also had UNFORTUNATLEY who was second at Maison Laffite in the two year old Listed race going down by only a neck after being bumped at the start.
We enjoyed Royal Ascot as always and managed to have a runner there in the Norfolk with Havana Grey although a little disappointed in him he looked to be the wrong side.
BORN TO BE ALIVE put up a creditable effort to get off the mark on only his second ever racecourse start when winning at Ayr under Clifford Lee. He is a lovely big scopey horse who has really grown into his big frame.
RAYDIANCE was another two year old winner who relished the soft ground at Haydock to win under PJ Mcdonald. MJJACK also loves the softer going and won very easily on Heavy ground at Haydock making it a second win for him this season. He seems a horse who excels on the soft going. ELLTHEA a two year old filly by Kodiac owned by the Gittins family dominated in the maiden at Carlisle drawing nicely clear of the field, she will be looking for black type this season.
BURISHOOLE ABBEY completed a hat rick of winners for The Gittins family when digging deep to get up under a strong ride from Martin Harley in a competitive handicap at Sandown. He now heads to the July sales.
MUTAHAADY was back to winning ways upped in trip under Jordan Vaughan at Redcar in there feature race he will run again before heading to the July sales too.
PARNASSIAN just got up on the line under the drive of Ben Curtis to win the sprint handicap at Windsor having ran a very creditable second at Pontefract last time out behind Golden Appollo who followed up with a win in the class 2 sprint at York.
TAHOO got her head back in front for the first time this year after having some respectable placed efforts from a positive ride from the front by Silvestor De Sousa.
HAVANA GREY takes the National stakes...
Sun, May 28, 2017
HAVANA GREY takes the National stakes (Listed) at Sandown leading from pillar to post under a positive ride from PJ McDonald. Havana Grey was sire Havana Gold's first stake winner and he did it in impressive style. He is a lovely straight forward colt who we have always liked and has stepped up and improved from each of his runs. He had a good draw at Sandown so we decided to send him forward and make his own running but we think he prefers a horse to aim at so we were delighted to see him stick on well up the Sandown hill. He looks set to head to Ascot now but no firm decision has been made to what race.
RAYDIANCE finished second...
Wed, May 24, 2017
RAYDIANCE finished second on his first racecourse outing, the son of Mayson was another of ours to enjoy the rain softened ground and they drew clear of the rest of the field.
MUSIKEL ran a pleasing race on turf to finish third after winning his first start for us on the all weather at Newcastle.
