Name:

Karl Richard Burke

How long have you been training for:

Since 1991

First winner trained:

Temporale winner of 2mile handicap hurdle ridden by Robbie Supple at Towcester

Biggest win so far:

The Prix De Diane at Chantilly with LAURENS.

Followed by LIBERTARIAN winning the Dante at York in 2013 which was the first Yorkshire trained Dante winner in over 70 years!

Favourite Horse of all time:

Daring Destiny as they were my first Group 1 Winner however, LAURENS just beats them by a short head!

Best horse you have trained:

Quiet Reflection & Laurens!

Favourite racetrack/meeting:

My Favourite would have to be York and the Dante Meeting!

Best moment in racing:

Having my first ever Royal Ascot winner in 2016 with Quiet Reflection winning the Group one Commonwealth Cup! Great day had by all involved!

Ambitions:

To have as many group winners as possible and the have a runner in Australia!

If you could change anything in racing what would it be:

I would have had more children to create more members of staff!!

If you hadn’t taken up training what would you be?

I would have deffinatley been a deck chair attendant on a Caribbean beach somewhere!

One horse that you are most looking forward to?

Finery, a two year old filly owned by The Cheveley Park Stud.
